Air Transport Association of America (ATA) • ATA wurde 1936 gegründet. • ATA ist die Handelsorganisation der US amerikanischen Luftverkehrsgesellschaften. • "The purpose of the ATA is to support and assist its members by promoting the air transport industry and the safety, cost effectiveness, and technological advancement of its operations ... it serves as a focal point for industry efforts to standardize practices" (ATA)

Technical Information & Communication Committee (TICC) • TICC formuliert standardisierte Informationsprozesse • TICC erstellt Normen zum digitale Datenaustausch in der Luftfahrtindustrie. • Ziele: – Eliminieren des Datenaustausches auf Papier – Transfer von Daten des Flugzeugherstellers und der Ausrüster direkt in die Software-Anwendungen der Fluggesellschaft. – Möglichkeit der Fluggesellschaft, Daten nach eigenen Anforderungen anzupassen. – Daten auf elektronischem Weg direkt an die entsprechenden Stellen im Wartungsbetrieb zu leiten.
